Using MindManager for IBIS Analysis  Mike
Hi,

I would like to use Mindmanager for dialogue mapping. I know about Compendium its way to quickly enter branches for issues, ideas and arguments into the map. This is important for creating maps in real time during the meeting. I also had the idea to use pictures in Mindmanager to get a similar result. However, I wonder if and how I can get new branches with the appropriate symbol quickly. Is there a way in Mindmanager to create templates for branches and link them to keys so that I get a branch with a question mark when hitting key q? In Compendium I can quickly change a branch, e. g. from idea to decision by right-clicking and choosing from a menu. In Mindmanager there are icons for the completion of tasks which can be changed in the map simply by clicking. So, I wonder how I would proceed to get Mindmanager to change between different branch symbols simply by clicking on them in the map. Any ideas?
Cicero is another tool for issue-based capturing of arguments (though not suitable for realtime meetings). It provides certain structures for argumentation types. I wonder if this approach of providing structure is useful to improve the meeting culture and skills in argumentation. Do you happen to know about templates in Mindmanager that provide similar structures to guide the discussion/ argumentation a bit more? I would be interested in your experiences with different approaches, i. e. a free mapping versus a more guided approach (knowing that this will depend on my personal style as well as the context).

Best wishes,
Mike

SharePoint Data View: Dynamically Grouping People Columns TxSteve
I can group and sort all day long, but as soon as I try to count or sum by Contact Person, my count is always 0 too. I've been searching the web and not finding any answers. Anyone have any ideas?

I'm having the same issue as Randy.  If the column is any data type other than 'user' it calculates correctly, but when it contains a user value it is always zero (0).  Any assistance would be appreciated.

SharePoint Data View: Dynamically Grouping People Columns Randy
I am grouping my ServiceRequest by AssignedTo in my dataview, but count is not working properly. When AssignedTo is empty, or equals a group name, I get an accurate count, but when AssignedTo is a person, I get '0'. The nodeset value in 'dvt_1.groupheader0' looks like this:

<xsl:with-param name="nodeset" select="msxsl:node-set($dvt_Rows)/root//Row[((@AssignedTo)=$groupheader0 or ((not(@AssignedTo) or @AssignedTo='') and $groupheader0=' '))]" />

Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong?

Randy

thank you very much for such interesting post, though I have a question, is it possible to group multiple columns without actually nesting them, cause its been bothering me using ddwrt:NameChanged(string(@xxx), id) specially setting the id for multiple columns.

thanx again,
Zafer

Create a VisiFire Stacked Chart from a SharePoint List JSlo
Thank you for this post! I was able to use this to create a combination chart that pulls from a SharePoint list, however, I am having issues adding multiple charts (based on multiple lists) to the same SharePoint page. Every time I follow the steps above for a new Data View web part, the page still shows only one chart, but pulling data from the new list, as opposed to the old one. Where in the code can I fix this so that I have 2 charts?

Additionally, is there a way to change the @ names of the datafields in SharePoint Designer?

Very dramatic...  I think Jimmy has a future as a Producer.  You may want to take some remedial editing courses, though ;) J/K!
